More than two years since the last post!
I thought it’s about time that I post something here. My last post in February 2007 included photos of snow in London – how different the climate is where I am now! It’s about 11pm here in Singapore and the temperature is still 25C or perhaps even a bit more. Sitting here with the windows open and the fan blazing at top speed. Really not a fan of air conditioning – just doesn’t seem natural. Other things have changed too – from a PC user I’ve jumped right across the fence to the world of Apple and Mac OS X. I couldn’t be happier – the iMac has exceeded all expectations and computing is truly a pleasure. Having VMware Fusion installed with a Windows XP installation makes it easy to run Windows apps if I really need to… but that’s becoming a rarer occurrence with each passing day!
It’s coming up to 2 years since I moved to Singapore. What a wonderful time it has been, living in a warm tropical climate, in a country where the public transport works well, is reliable and affordable, where good food doesn’t cost the earth and a place where crime is low. It’s good to be able to walk about anywhere, at any time, without the fear of being mugged or other bad things happening. I certainly couldn’t do that in London! It’s also good to be in SE Asia, to be close to some wonderful places – Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia. I had a wonderful time in Bali back in April – if there’s paradise on earth, I think it’s in Bali… if you’ve not been before I thoroughly recommend a visit. If you’ve been before, you’ll want to go again!
I’ve updated a few bits on this website too… one step at a time!
